DACC-facilitated Quality Matters 2-week Workshop - Applying the QM Rubric (APPQMR) - Jan. 8th - Jan. 22nd
THERE NEEDS TO BE A MINIMUM OF 6 PEOPLE SIGNED UP FOR THIS WORKSHOP - If we do not get 6 people the workshop will be rescheduled
The workshop starts on Jan. 8th and runs through Jan. 22nd
The Applying the QM Rubric (APPQMR) workshop is QM's flagship workshop on the QM Rubric and the process of using the QM Rubric to review online courses. It is intended for a broad audience, including but not limited to faculty, instructional designers, administrators, and adjunct instructors who wish to understand more about the QM Rubric and process of course
This workshop explores the QM Rubric and Processes and prepares you to be part of an initiative that positively impacts the design of online/blended courses and ultimately, learning and success for the learner. QM is designed to improve the quality of online/blended courses by establishing a peer-reviewed quality assurance review process. You will become familiar with QM standards and participate in a practice peer course review of an online course using the review tools.
Participants can expect to spend about 10 to 15+ hours per week (if not more) in this workshop to successfully complete it. You will work with eight different modules that include quizzes, homework assignments and discussions and all activities must be completed in a timely manner.
The APPQMR is the prerequisite for the Peer Reviewer Course, which is the required course to become a QM Peer Reviewer.
"When I first took the APPQMR workshop, my course development and teaching skills were enhanced greatly in applying the concept of alignment and bringing an increased focus on the learning outcomes in all elements of the course." Patti Hunter, Ashford University
